Introduction

There are moments in life that genuinely catch you off guard — not because they are overwhelming, but because they feel unexpectedly meaningful. Being invited to appear on the Tutor-ology podcast as a guest alongside the wonderful Ayush Ghurka was one of those moments for me.

I am truly honored to have been part of this engaging conversation. It was a rare and wonderful opportunity to sit down, speak openly, and explore ideas that I genuinely care about. What I did not fully anticipate was just how much I would enjoy the process — not just sharing my own thoughts, but being genuinely heard, challenged, and inspired in return.

This blog is my way of reflecting on that experience, sharing what we talked about, and expressing my gratitude for a platform like Tutor-ology that makes conversations like this possible.

2. About the Podcast

Who Hosted the Podcast?

The podcast is hosted by Ayush Ghurka, a thoughtful and engaging conversationalist who has built a reputation for drawing out the best in his guests. What sets Ayush apart is his genuine curiosity — he does not just ask questions; he listens, reflects, and builds on what you share in a way that makes the conversation feel truly collaborative.

What Was the Discussion About?

Our conversation covered a broad range of topics — from personal background and formative experiences to the lessons I have picked up along the way. We talked about resilience, ambition, the importance of community, and the kind of growth that only happens when you step outside your comfort zone. It was a wide-ranging discussion that touched on both the personal and the universal.

Why Does It Matter?

Tutor-ology is a platform built on the belief that learning does not stop at the classroom door. By featuring real conversations with real people, it creates a space where listeners can discover new perspectives, gather practical wisdom, and feel less alone in their own journeys. That mission resonates deeply with me — which is part of why I was so eager to be involved.

3. My Experience During the Podcast

Before the Conversation

I will be honest — I was nervous. There is something about knowing your words will be heard by others that focuses the mind in a way that is both exciting and a little daunting. In the days leading up to the recording, I spent time reflecting on the experiences and ideas I most wanted to share. I did not want to come in with a script, but I did want to come in with clarity.

I thought about the moments that had genuinely shaped me — the stumbles as much as the successes — and decided that authenticity would be my north star. If I could be honest and useful, that was enough.

During the Conversation

The nerves dissolved quickly. Ayush has a gift for making you feel at ease — within minutes, it felt less like a formal interview and more like a genuine exchange between two people who are genuinely interested in each other's perspective. There were moments that surprised me: questions that made me pause and think in ways I had not expected, threads of conversation that took us somewhere neither of us had planned.

One particular exchange that stayed with me was around the topic of self-doubt — something I touched on in our conversation and that clearly resonated. It reminded me that the things we are most hesitant to share are often the most valuable to others.

Topics We Covered

•       Personal journey and background — where I started and what shaped me

•       Key lessons learned through experience rather than formal education

•       Navigating self-doubt and staying motivated through difficult periods

•       The role of mentorship and community in personal growth

•       Future vision and the kind of impact I hope to create

4. Key Takeaways from the Discussion

Looking back, here are the four ideas that I think will stay with listeners long after the episode ends:

  1. The Importance of Meaningful Conversations — Not every conversation has to lead somewhere productive. Sometimes the simple act of speaking and listening with intention is transformative in itself. This podcast was a perfect reminder of that truth.

  2. Learning from Different Perspectives — Ayush brought questions and angles I had not considered. That is the beauty of genuine dialogue: it reveals the parts of a story you did not know were worth telling.

  3. Sharing Real Experiences — Polished success stories are inspiring, but they are rarely the most useful. What listeners connect with most deeply is honesty — the struggles, the pivots, the moments of doubt before the breakthrough.

  4. The Power of Podcasts for Knowledge Sharing — A single podcast conversation can reach hundreds or thousands of people who would never have encountered these ideas otherwise. That is an extraordinary thing, and it is why platforms like Tutor-ology matter so much.

5. Why Podcasts Matter Today

We are living through a golden age of audio content, and podcasts sit at the heart of it. Here is why I believe they have become such a vital part of our modern learning landscape:

• Learning — Podcasts make knowledge accessible in a format that fits into real life. You can learn from brilliant minds while commuting, exercising, or cooking. There is no barrier to entry, no exam, no syllabus — just ideas, freely shared.

• Networking — Being featured on a podcast or even just listening to one can open unexpected doors. It connects guests, hosts, and listeners in a shared conversation that can spark collaborations, friendships, and opportunities.

• Sharing Ideas — Podcasts give a voice to people whose stories might otherwise go unheard. Platforms like Tutor-ology are doing something genuinely important: democratising who gets to share their story and whose wisdom gets to reach the world.

6. Listen to the Full Podcast

If anything in this blog has sparked your curiosity, I would love for you to hear the full conversation. Ayush and I cover so much more than I can capture in a blog post — the nuance, the laughter, the unplanned moments — all of it is there in the episode.

And if you enjoy it, please subscribe to the Tutor-ology podcast — there are so many more conversations like this one coming your way.

7. Closing Thoughts

I walked away from this conversation with Ayush feeling genuinely grateful — not just for the opportunity, but for what the experience reminded me of. Conversations like this one are not a luxury; they are a necessity. They are how we learn, how we connect, and how we grow.

I am deeply thankful to Ayush Ghurka for hosting with such warmth and intelligence, and to Tutor-ology for building a platform that values real, meaningful dialogue. If this episode reaches even one person who needed to hear something we said, then it has done its job — and more.

Here's to more conversations that inspire, educate, and remind us that we are all, in some way, still learning. I look forward to being part of many more.

Aaliyah had a very good time in the Cube Conquerors class. The teacher was very kind and patient. She made the class enjoyable for Aaliyah. The teacher was very patient and encouraging. If there are other kids interested in solving the Rubiks Cube I would definitely recommend the class and the teacher. Thank you for encouraging Aaliyah and helping her.
