Tutor-ology – Comprehensive Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Tutor-ology (“Tutor-ology”, “Company”, “Platform”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”) and any person accessing, registering with, browsing, enrolling in, teaching through, purchasing from, or otherwise using the Platform including but not limited to students, parents, guardians, tutors, instructors, mentors, educators, trainers, visitors, and users (“User”, “You”, or “Your”). By accessing or using Tutor-ology services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms & Conditions, our policies, operational guidelines, privacy practices, and all applicable laws and regulations. These Terms are drafted in accordance with applicable laws of India including but not limited to the Indian Contract Act, 1872, Information Technology Act, 2000, Consumer Protection Act, 2019, Copyright Act, 1957, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable laws, rules, notifications, and regulations.

2. Services Offered
Tutor-ology provides online educational services including but not limited to academic tutoring, extracurricular learning, one-on-one classes, group classes, workshops, camps, mentorship programs, assessments, educational consultations, learning resources, digital educational content, and other learning-related services for students across various countries and curriculums.
3. Eligibility
Users accessing the Platform must be legally competent under applicable law. Students below the age of 18 years must use the Platform under supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Tutors registering on the Platform must possess valid educational qualifications, skills, communication abilities, and professional conduct standards suitable for online education and interaction with students.
4. User Responsibilities
All users agree to: • Provide accurate and updated information. • Maintain respectful communication. • Avoid misuse of the Platform. • Comply with applicable laws. • Maintain professionalism and discipline. • Avoid harassment, abuse, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory conduct. • Use the Platform solely for lawful educational purposes.
5. Tutor Responsibilities
Tutors shall maintain punctuality, professionalism, sincerity, and ethical conduct while teaching students through the Platform. Tutors shall not: • Solicit students privately. • Divert students outside the Platform. • Share inappropriate content. • Engage in misconduct or harassment. • Misuse student data or confidential information. • Record classes independently without authorization. Tutors shall ensure proper internet connectivity, functional devices, suitable teaching environments, and professional classroom behavior.
6. Parent & Student Responsibilities
Parents and students are responsible for: • Ensuring proper attendance. • Maintaining respectful classroom behavior. • Providing suitable learning environments. • Maintaining required devices and internet access. • Supporting academic continuity. • Ensuring that minors use the Platform responsibly. Students shall not engage in disruptive behavior, harassment, misuse of recordings, or unlawful conduct.
7. Session Recording, Monitoring & Surveillance
Tutor-ology reserves the right to record, monitor, review, store, edit, analyze, audit, reproduce, and maintain records of any online classes, demo sessions, workshops, webinars, meetings, interactions, chats, screenshots, audio recordings, video recordings, classroom activities, assignments, feedback sessions, and educational communications for purposes including but not limited to: • Quality assurance • Tutor training • Academic evaluation • Complaint resolution • Internal audits • Safety and security • Operational monitoring • Service improvement • Compliance requirements • Internal management • Customer support • Fraud prevention • Legal compliance All users expressly consent to such recording and monitoring by using the Platform.
8. Promotional, Social Media & Marketing Consent
Tutor-ology shall have unrestricted rights to use recordings, screenshots, testimonials, classroom snippets, student achievements, tutor introductions, educational moments, feedback, audio/video clips, and educational interactions for: • Social media promotions • Instagram reels/posts • Facebook promotions • LinkedIn marketing • YouTube videos/shorts • Website display • Brochures and banners • Advertisements • Branding campaigns • Public relations activities • Educational awareness campaigns • Business presentations • Investor presentations • Corporate communications • Digital marketing • Promotional campaigns Such content may be edited, modified, cropped, enhanced, translated, reformatted, reproduced, published, distributed, or adapted for promotional and operational purposes. Users waive any claims relating to: • Royalty • Compensation • Ownership • Prior approval • Copyright restrictions • Promotional usage rights Parents/guardians confirm that they are authorized to provide consent on behalf of minor students.
9. Privacy, Data Protection & Third-Party Sharing
Tutor-ology may collect, process, store, transfer, analyze, share, and use information including but not limited to: • Names • Contact details • Academic records • Attendance records • Device/IP information • Payment information • Communication logs • Session recordings • Screenshots • Images/videos/audio • Feedback and reviews • Usage analytics • Technical data • Marketing preferences Such information may be shared with third parties including: • Payment gateway providers • Cloud storage vendors • CRM systems • Analytics providers • Advertising agencies • Social media platforms • Operational partners • Technology vendors • Legal authorities • Auditors • Marketing agencies • Educational affiliates • International service providers for purposes including: • Service delivery • Marketing • Promotions • Analytics • Customer support • Platform management • Security • Legal compliance • Operational efficiency • Communication • Business development Users expressly consent to such processing and sharing of information. Tutor-ology shall take commercially reasonable efforts to maintain security of information; however, no digital platform can guarantee complete security.
10. Payments, Billing & Refund Policy
Fees for services may vary depending upon tutor expertise, curriculum, geography, class format, subject, package structure, and operational considerations. Payments are generally required in advance unless otherwise agreed. No refund shall be applicable once 70% or more of the purchased package/classes has been completed. If discontinuation is requested before completion of 70% of the package, refunds may be processed after applicable deductions including: • Classes attended • Taxes • Platform charges • Payment gateway charges • Operational costs Approved refunds may take approximately 5–10 working days depending on payment systems and banking procedures.
11. Intellectual Property Rights
All educational content including worksheets, videos, recordings, curriculum, software systems, graphics, notes, presentations, logos, study material, assessments, and branding assets shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of Tutor-ology or respective owners. Users shall not: • Copy • Redistribute • Reproduce • Sell • Commercially exploit • Publish • Modify • Share unauthorized copies without prior written permission from Tutor-ology.
12. Confidentiality
Users agree to maintain confidentiality regarding: • Internal operations • Pricing structures • Student information • Tutor information • Business strategies • Platform systems • Educational materials • Company communications Unauthorized disclosure or misuse may result in legal action.
13. Technology Requirements
Users are responsible for maintaining: • Stable internet connectivity • Suitable devices • Functional audio/video systems • Secure technical setup Tutor-ology shall not be liable for interruptions caused by internet failures, device issues, software incompatibility, third-party outages, or technical disruptions.
14. Suspension & Termination
Tutor-ology reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platform without prior notice in cases involving: • Policy violations • Fraud • Misconduct • Harassment • Abuse • Data misuse • Safety concerns • Reputational harm • Non-payment • Illegal activity • Breach of confidentiality Tutor-ology also reserves the right to refuse services at its discretion.
15. Limitation of Liability
Tutor-ology does not guarantee examination scores, ranks, admissions, academic outcomes, or career success. Tutor-ology shall not be liable for: • Indirect losses • Technical failures • Internet disruptions • Device issues • Third-party service failures • Data loss • Business interruption • Emotional distress • Consequential damages Users acknowledge that educational progress depends upon multiple individual and external factors.
16. Force Majeure
Tutor-ology shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or inability to provide services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, pandemics, cyberattacks, government restrictions, internet outages, wars, labor disputes, technical failures, or force majeure events.
17. Communication Consent
Users consent to receiving calls, emails, SMS, WhatsApp messages, notifications, newsletters, reminders, marketing communications, promotional messages, and service-related updates from Tutor-ology and its authorized representatives or partners.
18. Amendments
Tutor-ology reserves the right to revise, modify, update, or replace these Terms & Conditions, policies, pricing structures, operational guidelines, and platform practices at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Platform after updates shall constitute acceptance of revised terms.
19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts where Tutor-ology conducts its principal business operations.
20. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, registering with, enrolling in, teaching through, purchasing from, or using Tutor-ology services, users confirm that they: • Have read these Terms carefully; • Understand the contents herein; • Voluntarily agree to comply with all provisions; • Consent to recording, monitoring, marketing usage, and data processing practices described herein
